Eleek is a sustainable design and manufacturing company based in Portland, Oregon. Most everything we make is recycled and recyclable. We specialize in decorative architectural details such as lighting, metal sinks, hardware and countertops.
Our company car is a 2002 VW New Beetle TDI. We’ve been running it on B99 for two years. We are currently shopping for a shop van that we can run on biodiesel too.The performance of our company car has been superb (it gets about 45 mpg on average!) and we feel great about using biodiesel.
We are very concerned about global warming, localized pollution from vehicle emissions and political instability in the world created by America’s voracious appetite for fossil fuels. We feel that biodiesel is currently the best answer. Cars that run on biodiesel are relatively cheap and available compared to hybrids and they tend to get great mileage. Biodiesel's profile for localized pollution is impressive. It’s domestic, renewable and doesn’t contribute to war and political instability. WE LOVE BIODIESEL!
