Flower Power Biodiesel Co-operative
The Flower Power Biodiesel Co-op fuel shack is built entirely from materials salvaged onsite, including the plywood, insulation and 2x4's.
The shack interior is heated by a single 100-watt light bulb, which keeps the ambient air temperature above 50 degrees in sub-zero temperatures. It is custom built around our 250-gallon tank and containment tub.
We use B99 year-round, and the shack allows members the flexibility to use B99 when they want to. When temperatures drop below 40, members splash in half or 3/4's tank of B99 on top of standard petrol-diesel; otherwise, they continue to use B99 throughout the winter.
