SeQuential Biofuels Biodiesel in the Pacific Northwest
Town and Country Pet Sitting

A pet sitter works 365 days a year and drives all day.

There are many days we drive over 100 miles a day. Choosing to open a small business was a big step but a decision made to enhance my family's and my own quality of life. Knowing that it entails so much driving I was determined to make the least impact I could. I already had a Mercedes diesel that I'd been using biodiesel in since March of 2004. I dedicated that car to the business and just a few months ago added a second Mercedes wagon to serve as a more efficient pet taxi.

I try to consider things I can do to make my business more sustainable. For example we use & sell completely biodegradable bags for pet waste. Biodiesel is a huge part of our goal of being sustainable. I plan ahead to fill up so that I can get to one of the pumps I use without having to make a special trip. It's very little hassle with planning as I fill up about once a week, sometimes twice.

I'm a single mom with a small business. We all worry about pollution and politics and it just takes doing one thing at a time to feel like you can contribute to positive change. It’s very important to me to do something. I tell everyone that I drive diesels with B99. It does cost more, but the price has fluctuated very little and it's the right thing to do. At least a dozen people have THANKED me for using biodiesel. I'm grateful that SeQuential offers it so that I can pull up to the pump and pay with my card!
