Team SQ
SeQuential Biofuels LLC was launched in
2002 as a BIOFUELS marketing and distribution company with offices
in both Portland and Eugene, Oregon. Starting with a truck-mounted
mobile retail pump, SeQuential began building the market for
BIODIESEL in the Pacific Northwest. Today, in partnership with
regional fuel distributors, SeQuential provides commercial BIOFUEL
and BIOFUEL blends for heat, power and transport to businesses,
governments and individuals.
Our Mission
It is our mission to lead the renewable fuels movement in the
Pacific Northwest by expanding the awareness of the economic and
environmental benefits of domestically produced biofuels. It is our
vision to offer retail options and promote quality sustainable fuel
alternatives to answer consumer's growing demand for choice. It is
our goal to see biofuel regionally produced and regionally
consumed. We are working to expand the fleet and retail markets for
biodiesel throughout the Pacific Northwest. We continue to build
relationships with existing liquid fuel distributors and retail
station owners to increase points of distribution for BIODIESEL and
BIOETHANOL.
Marketing and Distribution
Since 2002 SeQuential has blazed the trail for the BIOFUELS market
in the Northwest and is the largest distributor of BIODIESEL in
Oregon. SeQuential provides commercial BIOFUEL and BIOFUEL blends
to businesses, governments and individuals throughout the
state.
Retail
SeQuential Biofuels Retail LLC was launched in 2004 with the intent
to open a retail BIOFUEL Station. The first station opened for
business September 2, 2006 and offers fuels for every vehicle with
no conversion required, through both BIODIESEL and BIOETHANOL
blends. It has the first public E85 BIOETHANOL pump in Oregon. In
addition to renewable fuels, the station also features many
sustainable design elements, including a solar array canopy over
the pumps, a living roof, a passive solar building, and groundwater
cleaning bioswales. You can learn more about the station design
here. Following the example of this
flagship biofuel station, SeQuential intends to create more biofuel
stations throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Production
SeQuential Pacific Biodiesel LLC was launched in 2004 and is
credited with being the first Commercial BIODIESEL Production
Facility in Oregon and only the second Commercial BIODIESEL
Production Facility in the Northwest. The first gallons of
SeQuential-Pacific Biodiesel were produced in August of 2005.
Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski and Salem City Mayor Janet Taylor
were on hand at the grand opening of the production facility and
helped initiate the first production process by pressing the start
button. The capacity of the Salem facility is approximately 1
million gallons per year. The feed stock is primarily based on used
cooking oil with the hope of transitioning to more regionally
produced oil seed crops like Canola. Learn more about the
production facility here.
