The longest-running biodiesel production facility serving the Pacific NW, SeQuential Pacific Biodiesel utilizes regionally sourced use cooking oil as feedstock to produce a local, cleaner burning biodiesel.
A joint venture between Oregon-based alternative fuel retailer SeQuential Biofuels and production company Pacific Biodiesel, SeQuential Pacific LLC was launched in Salem in 2005, as Oregon's first commercial biodiesel production facility. The technology at the plant allows for any waste vegetable oil to be processed into biodiesel, including soy, canola, and olive oils. SeQuential Pacific Biodiesel uses locally collected used cooking oil and Oregon-grown canola as feedstocks. This truly sustainable approach benefits local farming activities and supports the greening of communities, both environmentally and economically. If your car was made after 1993, the answer is no. If your car was made prior to 1993, the rubber fuel lines will probably have to be replaced. One of the major advantages of using biodiesel is the fact that it can be used in existing diesel engines without negative impacts to operating performance.
