SeQuential Biofuels Biodiesel in the Pacific Northwest

Why Biofuels
Not only are diesel engines powerful, efficient workhorses that long outlive gasoline engines, burning biodiesel in them is simple. Any standard diesel engine or heating oil furnace requires absolutely no conversion to burn a blend of 20% biodiesel and 80% petroleum diesel (b20).

It is simply "pump and go." Diesel engines and furnaces can burn up to 100% biodiesel (b100); however, there are some precautions for using b100.

Value is Greater than Price Alone
The biodiesel component of your fuel is 100% renewable, biodegradable and non-toxic, and it is produced by American farmers. Burning biodiesel helps reduce American dependence on foreign petroleum and propels us toward a more sustainable future.

Biodiesel is produced from agricultural crops grown in the United States. Increased consumption of biodiesel creates new markets for American farm products, creates new jobs in rural communities and keeps money circulating throughout the domestic economy. Producing a percentage of our fuel at home reduces dependence on foreign oil and increases American energy independence.

The energy contained in petroleum-based fuels and the energy contained in biodiesel is derived from the same source: the sun, but timing is everything. . .

Petroleum reserves required million of years to form, but annual plants act like seasonal batteries, providing a constant supply of energy with each new growing season. Fossil fuels contain complex, toxic compounds, but biodiesel, refined from pure vegetable oil, contains only simple organic compounds that are non-toxic and biodegradable, making it safe to store and handle.Using biodiesel in place of petroleum diesel decreases carbon dioxide emissions (greenhouse gases) by nearly 80%.

Biodiesel also increases the performance of your engine. Biodiesel is a "premium" diesel fuel that cleans your fuel system, improves engine lubricity and reduces particulate emissions, all of which help to extend the life of your diesel equipment.
